While aquifers exist, they are located more than 120 meters deep, rendering manual pumps ineffective.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The Engineering Challenge<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The lack of a reliable electrical grid prohibited the use of standard pumps. Diesel generators, which are polluting and require costly maintenance, were ruled out by MAGA&#8217;s design office.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The MAGA Solution<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our engineers deployed the &#8220;Solar-Aqua V3&#8221; system. It is a direct-drive solar pumping system coupled with a gravity tank.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Capacity:<\/strong> 40 monocrystalline photovoltaic panels power a submersible pump capable of lifting 15m<sup>3<\/sup> of water per hour.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Storage:<\/strong> Water is stored in a 50,000-liter elevated tank, creating natural pressure for distribution without the need for batteries (significantly reducing maintenance costs).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>IoT:<\/strong> Each station is equipped with satellite-connected flow sensors, allowing our teams to monitor the aquifer levels in real-time.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Today, 15,000 villagers have secure access to clean water, and the surplus is used for drip irrigation of local food crops.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Turkana region in northern Kenya is facing a historic drought.
